My dream comes alive

My dream is to be a pilot, don’t ask me how the idea came to me at the start because I don’t know. But once I know I want I want to be a pilot. I want to make this dream come true so I started doing research, I found that it's really expensive and the process of getting there is complicated, that didn’t put me off. I talked to teachers and friends about it and found some really important and helpful information, some of my friends even gave me their flight equipment and textbooks. The teacher told me that she will keep an eye for opportunities for me to go deeper into aviation, in the mean time I keep doing research. I found a few flight schools and Massey university that offer a study that leads into a airline pilot career, I personally love Massey because dad use to work there and I was born in Palmerston North, so it was amazing that they are the only university that offers an aviation degree in New Zealand. Soon I found out that a few of my friends are looking into being a vet and they are going to study in Massey, and just to make this sounds amazing (from when I first talk to someone about this to now is only 2 months), it all came so fast!!!!!

One afternoon my teacher came and told me that there is a gateway programme for aviation and I have to write an essay to them to grab the scholarship thing for it, and it was to be in in a week. I am not a really good essay writer, so something like this blows my brain into parts, but luckily I have smart friends, and I finished it in no time with the help of my friends. I am not going to put the essay on here, but I can tell you it was a piece of writing that will get you all the scholarships you need in your life, Thanks to my friends. Two weeks later….. I was told I get in!!!! But one bad news is that in a class of ten I am the only girl. I would have to face this problem in university as well, I was told in a class of 30 there will be about two girls. But O Well. I started making contact with Massey and their contact person quickly reply and talked to me about things that I have to know, she even said she would come down and meet me sometimes. WOW!!!!

Well I am going to talk about that amazing night now. Ok so I saw this info night for people thinking of going into Massey on Facebook, so I asked dad to come with me to listen to it. When we got there he was attracted to the food and he keeps eating and drinking…. I was too excited to do anything but sit there and listen, but he ate my share so it was all good. The main point is this, so for each subject a student studying there will share something about what they like and why it was worth studying there. For all the other subjects it was some ex pupils from Burnside high or Riccarton high, but then when it got to Aviation, it was an ex pupil from MIDDLETON, I was like wow dad look, it's talking to me, dad found it really amazing as well.
In so many ways things pop up and talk to me somehow, if you know what it mean. If you need and example, here it comes. Well we were eating chocolates and on each box is a little carton and with some words on it, and my classmates was just handing them out randomly, but I was the only one that got the pilot cartoon and it says on it something like(when I grow up I want to be a pilot and fly airplanes) and my friends were like, it's a sign and I was like I am keeping this.

There are so much more, I can't put them all on here, And I know there are so much more to come. I just want to say, don’t stop chasing your dreams and when the path opens up don’t stop and think. GO FOR IT!!!!!

New stage of life

I think I am in the stage of life where I don’t know who to pour my feelings out to because I think they won't understand or they might judge me, so this blog will be about how I feel, what I think, what's happening in my life, important events in my life etc… and I think it doesn’t matter if no one is reading this because as long as I am not keeping everything in my heart, I will be alright.

Path

Today's me is not a new me. It's an accumulation of the 6554 days worth of me now, sitting in front of a computer. I will wake up tomorrow, and I will make decisions, walking on a path determined by my own personality and character. I focus on a pebble- filled path, the ground of dirt, always forgetting that the Way is in the stars. What I care about is what's on earth, but I feel foreign. I'm a sojourner, and all I want to do is remember to look up into the Sky.
