"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever." (1 John 2:15-17)
When I was thinking about what to study after high school I thought about what my dream life will be like. I want a big house with all these design with entertainments that I can enjoy anytime I want. I want a family with twins boys and a handsome husband that earns a lot of money but yet still spend a lot of time with me and my boys. I want a cute puppy and a cuddly cat. I was too attracted to what the world can offer me, so everything I do was to work towards these goals. I always tell myself that I can serve the Lord while chasing these dreams, over the years I have done small changes in my life to prove to God that He is the centre of my life. After a week or two, I was back to my old self. When God gives me something that I love, I get too obsess with it and forget about God. This happens over and over again, then He starts taking things away from me. A few days ago, He broke my heart, God took something from me that I can't recover without constantly being with Him. The pass few days was the closes to God I have ever been, I would not have gone pass these few days without Him. I will use this as a reminder that without God in my life all good things that He put in my life is nothing. From this day let us not forget that the right question is What does God desire from our life?
All things happens for a reason, the good the bad is all in God's plan. When hard times comes, remember that God only give you battles that u can fight through. A few hours, a few months, a few years later you will praise God for what happened. You will see why God lead you to where you are now. For those fighting a battle, has a broken heart(like me), can't see where the light is. Don't lose hope just yet. Look to Jesus, pray, read His word. I promise we will get through this together and we will see the light, the promised land. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matt6:33) So now is the perfect time to see if you are seeking the right thing in your life or not :) God bless!
